Free Bahrain visas for Formula One enthusiasts 19/03/08 - gulfnews.com

Manama: People planning to visit Bahrain during the Formula One Grand Prix can get their visas on arrival or apply through the internet or the General Directorate of Nationality, Passports and Residence headquarters, the Interior Ministry here has said.   "The two-week multiple entry visa can be used to enter Bahrain between March 23 and April 6 and will be free of charge," the ministry said yesterday in a statement to the media. Visitor influx Bahraini authorities are expecting thousands of visitors from various countries to attend the international event from April 4-6. "We have set up several fast-track lanes at the airport dedicated to passports and immigration procedures related to F1," the statement added. Visas can be obtained on arrival by the nationals of Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong SAR, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Monaco, Holland, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, UK, US and Vatican City.   Related news:   y back to top
